General Job Description: 

To provide information and enrollment support services to MNTC customers.

Education: 

High School diploma or equivalent

Special Knowledge, Skill, or Ability:

  • Problem-solving skills in order to resolve conflicts or potential conflicts
  • Cooperate with and assist other employees within MNTC

  • Must be flexible and able to adjust work schedule when needed
  • Windows, Word, and Internet at an intermediate level of proficiency
  • With training, be able to effectively use MNTC Student Accounting System within one month of employment

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Possess effective verbal and written interpersonal communication
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and information

Experience: 

Minimum two years front-line customer service experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Can Include: 
  1. Strengthens relationships by developing students and clients and staff, partnering with businesses and schools and collaborating with community leaders through participating in school or community activities.
  2. Focuses on being a leader within the organization through personal accountability, active problem solving and positive forward thinking.
  3. Focuses on continual improvement to assure quality products and excellent services to our customers and stakeholders.
  4. Supports and demonstrates the “4 P’s” of interaction: Purpose, Picture, Plan, and Part.
  5. Provide general information and directions to MNTC customers and potential customers in person, via the Internet, and on the telephone.
  6. Continually update knowledge of all MNTC programs / courses (long-term, short-term, and industry services) and MNTC support services in order to answer questions and provide assistance to prospective students.  This information can be disseminated in person, over the telephone, via the Internet, and/or through the mail.
  7. Perform enrollment function which includes assuring all enrollment activities have been completed and/or approved, confirming opening in program /course, verifying student information, inputting student information into the Student Accounting System (SAS), taking tuition and/or confirming billing, and reviewing completed enrollment with student.  In the case of short-term enrollments through fax, mail, and/or Internet, this process includes mailing confirmation form and any applicable information sheets to the student.
  8. Serve as central operator services to the MNTC district.
  9. Complete, file, and/or distribute all paperwork associated with student enrollments including, but not limited to, student applications forms, enrollment confirmation forms, college credit paperwork, agency and business billings, deposits, refunds, adjustment forms,
  10. Make customer referrals to student services advisors.
  11. Make customer referrals to program coordinators.
  12. Contact customers as needed to give updated course information, including class changes, class additions, class cancellations, and/or emergency situations.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
