Students Come Back Winners After BPA Conference | Moore Norman Technology Center

Moore Norman Technology Center students find success after competing in the Oklahoma BPA State Leadership Conference (SLC) with a total of 27 medals and 6 qualifiers for BPA Nationals. The journey to BPA Nationals began at the state level competitions. After a year of learning their technical skills, students were given the opportunity to show off their talents and test their skills.
The Moore Norman Technology Center BPA chapter members showed up at the BPA SLC with confidence, bringing home a total of 27 awards. There were 6 first place winners, 10 second place winners, and 11 third place winners.
Two students earned top placement in their event at BPA Nationals earlier this month. Kevin Long, Cloud & Virtual Networking Administration student, earned 1st place in Network Administration Using Cisco. Blaine Price, Programming post secondary student, earned 2nd place in Python Programming. The achievement was recognized on stage at the closing ceremonies.
Traci Hopper, CTSO Student Organization Coordinator at Moore Norman Technology Center, stated "I am amazed by the amount of students we had medal on stage this year. This is a direct reflection on our amazing instructors for all they did to prepare students." Three different instructors had students qualify for BPA Nationals.
