MNTC Basic Peace Officer Academy Graduates Cadet Class 25-02-11.
Moore Norman Technology Center’s Basic Peace Officer Academy cadet class 25-02-11 graduation ceremony takes place at the South Penn Campus on December 12, 2025.
 
Departments represented during the ceremony are Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, Midwest City PD, University of Oklahoma PD, Oklahoma Jail Trust Authority, Mustang PD, Elmore City PD, and private pay cadets.
 
Five award achievements are recognized during the ceremony; Academic Award, Firearms Award, Physical Fitness Award, Cadet Leadership Award and Class Representative.
 
The Academic Award is presented to the cadet who obtains the highest overall grade point average in the academy. Examinations and demerits are determining factors for the recipient of this award and is given to Ethan Moody. In addition to this award, Ethan was chosen as the Class Representative by fellow cadets. This is a special honor that includes giving a speech during graduation.
 
The Firearms Award is presented to the cadet who demonstrates the highest firearm proficiency as determined by the highest aggregate score from selected courses of fire. Receiving the Firearms Award this year is Ashton McCort
 
The Physical Fitness Award is presented to cadet Ryan Gulley, who has the highest aggregate score on the Fitness Indicator Tests.
 
The cadet who has the highest number of votes from the other members of the class for their leadership throughout the academy is presented the Cadet Leadership Award. The recipient for this award is Casey Yochum.
 
To begin the application process for MNTC’s Basic Peace Officer Academy, those interested must start by participating in a free orientation. The next orientation sessions are available either April 6 or April 11, 2026.
