MNTC graduate has diversified skill set for an ever-changing industry.

Norman, OK

Harnessing the power of both visual communication and dynamic storytelling, Abrielle Pham has walked the halls of Moore Norman Technology Center, to complete not one, but two programs. Completing both Digital Cinema and Television Production (DCTP) and Graphic Design at MNTC, Abrielle helped to accomplish her personal career goals: a flourishing career in Marketing and Advertising.

While at Moore Norman, Abrielle was also a part of the Careertech Student Organization - SkillsUSA. She was not only focused on gaining technical skills but also honing soft skills, leadership abilities, and teamwork. She competed for the MNTC SkillsUSA team at various levels and held both the position of President and Reporter. “The categories I competed in were life-long skills that I have continued to grow in every day. Those categories included Job Skills Demonstration, Community Service Project, and Customer Service,” Abrielle said.

From the onset, Abrielle realized the symbiotic relationship between the DCTP and Graphic Design programs. “I knew that both correlated with one another and being able to understand the background of each helps when producing the other,” she shares, reflecting on her immersive experience at MNTC. A series of internships including work with the Oklahoma City Energy soccer team and deadCenter Film Festival led to Abrielle landing a full-time position as a Content Creator and Community Manager with a marketing agency based out of Los Angeles.

Because of the success she found there, Abrielle is an advocate for exploring interests and potentials at Moore Norman. “Even if you are slightly interested in a field at Moore Norman Technology Center - DO IT. There is so much you can benefit from doing so, especially if you’re still under 21 years old. Moore Norman gives you the opportunity to explore fields before moving forward into the field at a college level - and at a much lower rate.” For Abrielle, MNTC meant opportunities, connections, resources, and plenty of room to grow. “MNTC was one of the few places with education that has such a high support, which is so important. I can’t stress enough the difference between feeling like a number, in a college with large classrooms, and feeling like a person,” Abrielle added.

As a new, young professional in the Marketing and Advertising field, Abrielle finds herself constantly utilizing the plethora of skills and experiences she gained from her time at Moore Norman Technology Center. Be it video editing and production skills from DCTV, design and layout abilities from Graphic Design, or leadership and team management from her time in SkillsUSA - Abrielle is walking proof that MNTC is the perfect spot to prepare for the future you’ve been waiting for.

“At MNTC, I gained life-long skills that I will continue to grow and utilize wherever I step foot,” Abrielle concluded.

Abrielle Pham’s narrative is not just a testament to her determination but also a reflection of Moore Norman Technology Center’s commitment to its students. Her story echoes the center’s ethos, showcasing how one can truly be prepared for success with the right guidance, opportunities, and a thirst for knowledge.
