Annual Frank S. Coulter Memorial Golf Tournament a Success

Moore Norman Technology Center Foundation’s annual Frank S. Coulter Memorial Golf Tournament was held Monday at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman. Sponsors raised more than $18,000 toward helping MNTC students with needs that would otherwise keep them from completing their career program. This is the 13th year of the fundraising effort for MNTC’s Foundation, which over the years has generated over $150,000. This year MNTC had 32 sponsors and 27 four-member teams play in the tournament.

A committee consisting of two MNTC administrators and a representative for the Foundation assesses scholarship applications. Granted scholarships are used for necessary items like certification exams, tuition, books and supplies. Scholarships may also be used for personal student issues such as housing, utility services, vehicle repair and gasoline.

This year’s corporate and independent team sponsors represent Norman, Moore and Oklahoma City.
