Annual Frank S. Coulter Memorial Golf Tournament Raises More than $24,000 for MNTC Foundation

Moore Norman Technology Center Foundation’s annual Frank S. Coulter Memorial Golf Tournament was held Monday at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman. Sponsors raised more than $24,000 toward helping MNTC students with needs that would otherwise keep them from completing their career programs. This is the 14th year of the fundraising effort for MNTC’s Foundation, which over the years has generated over $170,000. This year MNTC had 30 sponsors and 24 four-member teams play in the tournament.

A committee consisting of two MNTC administrators and a representative for the Foundation assesses scholarship applications. Granted scholarships are used for necessary items like certification exams, tuition, books, and supplies. Scholarships may also be used for personal student issues such as housing, utility services, vehicle repair, and gasoline.

This year’s corporate and independent team sponsors represent Norman, Moore, and Oklahoma City.
