MNTC Superintendent Announces Retirement
Moore Norman Technology Center Superintendent/CEO Jane Bowen announced her retirement at the February 21, 2019 meeting of the school’s board of education. Her retirement is effective August 10, 2019.
Bowen has spent over 35 years in the field of education, serving the last seven years at MNTC. During her MNTC tenure, she initiated a $60 million bond issue that passed in 2016 bringing expanded and modernized classroom facilities, increased safety features, and more efficient workspace to the district. She also began a multi-phase strategic plan that has brought community members together with MNTC staff to establish goals for the district. Over the years, nearly half of the MNTC staff has been voluntarily involved in implementing action plans to achieve the goals. Bowen serves on numerous community boards and has received many awards and honors over the course of her career. "Making the decision to retire was not an easy one,” said Bowen.
I have spent over 35 years in education because it is the most challenging and rewarding career I can imagine. Many of the programs and initiatives I hoped to bring to Moore Norman Technology Center are complete or well underway. Now is the right time for me to step aside and let someone else carry out their vision.

Moore Norman Technology Center serves the communities of Moore, Norman, and south Oklahoma City.
