MNTC Welding Student Tyler Hall Earns $500 Scholarship

Moore Norman Technology Center Welding student and 2019 Southmoore High School graduate Tyler Hall was recently awarded the Casey Cundiff Scholarship for $500! He'll be able to use the scholarship to buy tools for the welding program.

As one of four boys raised by his mother, Hall said:

I want to complete the welding program to support my family and to have a career —not just a job.

This OkACTE/ESSP Casy Cundiff Outstanding Student Scholarship is available to assist a student in accessing or completing a career and technology education career major or entering into the occupation for which he/she has trained.

The criteria used to select the winner includes the student's career goals, financial need, personal challenges to overcome, unusual circumstances, and letters of reference. The scholarship awards must be used to assist with the cost of tuition, fees, books, tools, and/or other expenses connected to employment or training.
