Moore Norman Technology Center hosts fall blood drive, October 30.

Norman, OK

MNTC hosts fall blood drive, Vein Drain 2024 Peoplejuice, Peoplejuice, Peoplejuice this month. Schedule your appointment for Wednesday, October 30 between 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. for the opportunity to help saves lives!

Health program instructors and students are actively involved in preparing for the event as a way to give back to the community. Everyone is encouraged to donate, but anyone under the age of 18 must provide a completed permission form before donating. The forms can be picked up from the Health Library upstairs in the health building. The blood drive will be located in the health building room H202-203. Donors will receive a glow-in-the-dark Peoplejuice, Peoplejuice, Peoplejuice t-shirt, while supplies last.

Blood donation helps people in our community. Donors, especially those who donate regularly, keep our nation's blood supply stable. Although many people donate blood after disasters, blood is needed every day of the year, every two seconds in the United States. Because of this need, Moore Norman Technology Center hosts a blood drive twice a year. According to Our Blood Institute, one donation can save up to three lives.

More reasons to donate:

  • Each donation can impact the lives of many loved ones and friends.
  • Another way to fulfill part of MNTC’s mission statement of changing lives and building better tomorrows.
  • Employees earn the Blood Donation Wellness Badge.
  • You get a t-shirt and a snack.
  • Giving back to the community.

Contact the Sheryl Miller, Practical Nursing Resource Assistant at 405-801-5406 for more information about scheduling your appointment, or go to the website: www.yourbloodinstitute.org
