Grand Forks Representatives Visit MNTC
This week representatives from the Grand Forks region of North Dakota visited Moore Norman Technology Center. Representatives were given tours of all the facilities at the Franklin Road Campus and South Penn Campus.
Currently, the career and technical education programs in North Dakota are embedded into their high schools. The State of North Dakota has funding that has become available to establish a stand-alone career and technical education. They looked at MNTC's facility design, how we select and build programs, our connections with industry, funding and governance, and scheduling and connections with the community.
(L to R) MNTC Executive Director of Instruction Terri Helvey, MNTC Superintendent/CEO Brian Ruttman, Grand Forks Region Economic Development President/CEO Keith Lund, Josh Anderson of True North Equipment, Phil Kraemer of Lunseth Plumbing & Heating, Dan Driessen of Lake Region Technical & Community College and Eric Ripley of Grand Forks Public Schools.
