Red Carpet Film accepted into Tallgrass Film Festival

One of our student produced movies featured in the 2022 Red Carpet Film Festival was recently accepted into the Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita, KS. This is a great example of how our students continue to excel and pursue their career goals in the film industry.

Our program prepares students for opportunities because they get first hand experience writing, producing, and directing original short films. Students work individually and in crews to create cinematic short films, engaging documentaries, and multi-camera broadcast segments. This is a great achievement and recognition about the talent and skills developed in our Digital Cinema & Television Production program. Film enthusiasts are invited to attend the event September 28-October 2. Visit the Tallgrass event site to purchase tickets

Solar Flare is a short film about Maggie Cook a teenager who has spent life alone in her room. With the world set to end in 24 hours, her classmate Hazel Norcross finally brings her out of her shell.

About RCFF

The Red Carpet Film Festival is an annual film and graphic design event in Norman, Oklahoma organized by MNTC's Digital Cinema & TV Production and Graphic Design classes. The Red Carpet Film Festival was created in 2008 to provide a way for students to experience deeper learning while working on extensive, industry-level projects in a collaborative environment. Students from both programs are empowered to create complex projects that they see through from concept to distribution. Next Red Carpet Film Festival is scheduled for spring 2023.
