Smith Finds Career Path Through Programming Success

Moore High School senior Lauren Smith has found great success during her two years in Moore Norman Technology Center's Programming & Software Development career program.

She recently learned that she, along with six other MNTC students and instructors, earned Aspirations in Computing (AiC) awards through the National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT). Smith is a 2021 Affiliate Winner for programming and software development. Information may be found here: aspirations.org

She's been accepted to the University of Central Oklahoma and is preparing to begin this fall. She plans to pursue a degree in computer science, while also competing on UCO's speech and debate team.
