Venard Earns OSSBA Distinguished Service Award

Moore Norman Technology Center School Board Vice President Dr. Max Venard has been honored with the 2021 Oklahoma State School Boards Association's Distinguished Service Award. Venard currently serves as vice president and represents Zone 4, Office 4 for MNTC's district of Moore, Norman and south Oklahoma City. He has been a member of MNTC's Board of Education since 1995.

According to the OSSBA website, this award is given to a present or former member of a public board of education who has exhibited distinguished service to the school and community during his or her tenure on the school board.

Former MNTC Board Member Joan Barker earned the award in 2017 after more than 25 years of service to the district.

Factors to be considered will be length of service; distinguished service acts for students, school, professionals, patrons, community and/or state; and distinguished service to the OSSBA.
