Evalyn is recognized for her exceptional attitude, strong work ethic, and natural leadership abilities. Known for her positive outlook and dedication, Evalyn consistently uplifts those around her and sets a powerful example for her peers. She approaches tasks with care and commitment, producing high-quality work and demonstrating genuine compassion for others. 

 

MNTC PTS Instructor Frank Romero describes her as “a rare student with maturity, kindness, and drive,” noting that Evalyn’s leadership comes naturally. She leads not for recognition, but because it reflects who she is. Balancing academics, work, and extracurricular commitments with grace, Evalyn exemplifies MNTC’s core values and serves as a true role model for her classmates. 

 

In addition to physical therapy services, Evalyn currently serves as the MNTC HOSA President. HOSA is a student organization for those pursuing an education, and eventually a career, in healthcare. In the role of HOSA president, Evalyn leads meetings and works with other officers to make sure chapter initiatives are carried out through leadership and collaboration.  

 

Outside the classroom, Evalyn plays saxophone in the Norman North High School band, works at a local pasta shop, and plans to pursue a career in osteopathic or pediatric physical therapy.

The Moore Norman Technology Center Foundation, Inc. was established in 1974 to foster and promote career and technical education, and to help students realize their dreams when financial difficulties can become a roadblock to academic and career success. Since its inception, the MNTC Foundation has grown to include a granting program for teachers as well as emergency funding for MNTC students or staff who face sudden hardship.
