Congratulations to MNTC Practical Nursing student Matthew Ghata the Moore Norman Technology Center Foundation Adult Student of the Month for October! Matthew has quickly emerged as a natural leader at Moore Norman, demonstrating compassion, generosity, and a genuine commitment to helping those around him.

Matthew consistently looks for thoughtful ways to support his classmates. He brings extra snacks and beverages to share, provides study tools and strategies to help others succeed, and finds ways to offer assistance without singling anyone out. His kindness extends beyond the classroom as well. When a fellow student experienced a medical event, Matthew stayed with the student to help ensure their safety and well-being.

As he pursues his second career, Matthew brings his whole heart to his nursing program. His goal is to pass the NCLEX, become a Licensed Practical Nurse, and provide patients with the same high-quality, compassionate care his father received during COVID.

Faculty describe Matthew as someone who leads not through authority, but through his actions. MNTC PN Instructor Kimberly Anderson said, “Matthew is a natural leader that embodies the characteristics we expect to see in all MNTC students, but also the characteristics of a compassionate and caring nurse. This is Matthew's second career and it is evident that he puts his whole heart into everything that he does!”
