What happens in the Assessment Center?

The mission of MNTC is to prepare students for success, change lives and help build better tomorrows. The MNTC Assessment Center supports this mission by administering certification, licensure, entry-level testing, and skills and competency exams to our clients. The MNTC Assessment Center further strives to provide professional services to our clients by adhering to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines.

Driving Exams Information - Service Oklahoma (DPS)

The written exams for Class D (driver's permit) and motorcycle license can be taken in the Assessment Centers at Moore Norman Technology Center.

Documentation Requirements: State issued copy of birth certificate (see example here), or a valid, current photo identification issued by government entity within the US (e.g. passport, military ID, state ID).

Age Requirement: Service Oklahoma (DPS) and the Oklahoma Department of Career Technology require that candidates are a minimum of 15 years old to take the Class D Driving (Permit) exam.

NOTE: If you are scheduling your child to take the Class D written permit test please make sure they are 15 years old on or before the day of their exam. If they are not 15 years old they will not be allowed to test per the agreement between Career Tech and Service Oklahoma. The payment will be forfeited and you will need to make a new appointment.

Candidates that pass the exam will need to take the signed, stamped score sheet to a specific Service Oklahoma site along with all required documentation to complete the process to obtain their license.

ACCUPLACER Testing

ACCUPLACER is used to determine classroom readiness for prospective students entering MNTC Career Programs. MNTC Career Advisors and Tech Representatives refer students to the MNTC Assessment Center for the appropriate testing. Testing appointments are scheduled once a referral has been received. Clinical Skills Exams for CNA and AUA

All clinical exams are given at the South Penn Campus, 13301 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170

We provide CNA and AUA testing for the following:

OSDH Letter/Waiver
Other Training Facilities

CNA Candidates must have the following to test:

Original training verification form or letter/waiver from Oklahoma State Department of Health
Social Security Card
Must bring a volunteer, 18 years or older without a CNA background (cannot currently be training or working as a CNA).

All AUA test candidates make an initial payment to cover the cost of both the Skills and Written exams for the first test session.

Service Oklahoma (DPS) Driving Exams

Service Oklahoma (DPS) Written Driving Test: The Class D, Motorcycle, and CDL written driving exams can now be taken at both the Franklin Road and South Penn Assessment Centers. CDL exams offered:

Examinees will be required to provide a photo ID or birth certificate to take the Oklahoma written driving test and motorcycle written test. All IDs will be verified by DPS before a license will be issued.

HPCP State of Oklahoma Exams - Test at Home with an Online Proctor (not all exams are available)

Please click on the link below for information about State of Oklahoma exams that can be taken online, from home.

With this option, candidates take exams online through a external vendor. The process ensures the integrity of the exam by using proctors who monitor exam takers live during the exam by:

Authenticating the test taker’s identity by using multi-factor identity verification including taking a picture of the candidate and the candidate’s government issued license.
Observing via a webcam guiding them through the process, providing technical assistance, and monitoring the test taker throughout the exam
Watching the test taker’s screen in real time to see everything the candidate is doing both at the location and on screen.
We hope this will allow individuals the ability to move forward in receiving various licensure/certifications through our agency partners.

NOTE: Clinical exams for AUA and CNA can only be taken at the South Penn campus.

How do I reschedule or cancel my exam?

You can reschedule or cancel your exam by going back to RegisterBlast. Be sure you are on the RegisterBlast page for the campus you are scheduled at:

Instructions for rescheduling or cancelling your exam can be found on the right side of the page under “More Information.” If you paid for your exam and are cancelling the exam and not planning on rescheduling, please contact the Assessment Center and request a refund.

I can't find the exam I want to schedule on RegisterBlast, or the system is not allowing me to schedule the exam.

I cancelled my exam, how do I get my refund?

Refund requests for exam fees will be processed for candidates that cancel their exam at least 3 business days in advance and email Assessment to request a refund. Include your full name, name on card used for payment, campus location scheduled, exam scheduled and the date of the exam. Refunds will be reimbursed to the account used for payment and take 10-14 days to process. No show candidates or candidates that cancel less than 72 hours in advance will not be issued a refund. The convenience fee in non-refundable.

How old do I need to be to take the Class D (Permit ) exam?

What documentation do I need to bring to take the Class D driving/permit exam?

You must bring a state issued birth certificate or a government issued ID that has your picture and date of birth listed such as a passport, state ID or military ID. If you do not have any of the above, you can bring an official copy of your transcript from your high school.

Accuplacer

How do I schedule an Accuplacer exam?
Can I take an Accuplacer exam at MNTC if I am attending another institution but want to take the Accuplacer exam at MNTC?

How do I schedule an Accuplacer exam?

If you are taking an Accuplacer exam to apply to an MNTC program you must see an Advisor first and be referred for testing. If you have not yet seen an advisor, please contact customer service at 405-801-5000 to make an appointment.

If you have already seen an Advisor and received a referral for testing please go to the Assessment webpage, and schedule your exam through one of the RegisterBlast links. All assigned Accuplacer exams must be completed in one testing sessions, unless an accommodation for separate sessions is in place.

You will be required to present a photo ID (student ID, driver’s license, military ID, passport) at the Assessment Center to take your Accuplacer exam.

Can I take an Accuplacer exam at MNTC if I am attending another institution but want to take the Accuplacer exam at MNTC?

MNTC does administer Accuplacer exams for other institutions through the Accuplacer Remote Testing Network. The institution you want to take the exam for must be part of this network. Please contact the assessment center at the institution you want to attend and ask them if they can request a remote testing session for you through the Accuplacer Remote Testing Network. Once this request is submitted, MNTC will receive an email containing your information and a voucher number that will be used to launch the exam at MNTC. You should also receive an email with this information and information about how to schedule your exam at MNTC.

If the institution you want to attend is not part of the Accuplacer Remote Testing Network, MNTC will not be able to administer the exam.
