This Oklahoma Board of Nursing approved course is designed for license eligible RN or LPNs returning to clinical practice as well as the graduate nurse needing a refresher course before sitting for the NCLEX examination. The course includes contemporary healthcare practices and a review of general nursing knowledge and skills. The 100-hour didactic portion of the course is online. Time is required on campus in the health lab where nursing skills are reviewed & demonstrated. The 80-hour clinical component is completed in an acute care setting in Oklahoma. Each class will be limited to seven LPN students. The course content is the same for both LPN and RN students. LPN students and RN students use the same textbooks. Students will spend approximately 20 hours on campus for skills labs.
