Advanced Unlicensed Assistant Lecture

This course prepares students to perform an assistive role to licensed nurses in acute care settings. Students learn advanced skills such as suture removal, sterile specimen collection, urinary catheterization, and venipuncture.

This course prepares students to apply for AUA certification issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. 40 hours of clinical follows the scheduled class dates. 

Certified Medication Aide
This online course for Anatomy and Physiology is the study of the structural complexity of the human body and its intricate functional mechanisms. The area of study will include organization of the body, cells and tissues, and systems to include integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, blood, circulatory, lymphatic and immune, respiratory, digestive, metabolism, urinary, and reproductive.
Certified Medication Aide

Move to the next level in your rewarding job in the health field as a certified medication aide. Learn how to administer medications safely and receive quality education in our flexible learning environment to work in a long term care setting. This program is approved through the Oklahoma State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.

CMA UPDATE - Documentation (FLEX)

This continuing 8 hour update education course provides information regarding CMA roles and responsibilities in the performance of documentation. Approved by the OSDH. 
CPR BLS for Healthcare Providers

The classroom based, instructor led CPR BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers teaches healthcare professionals the critical skills of high quality CPR, to recognize several life threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The primary objective of this course is to teach psychomotor (performance) skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants and to provide information about Emergency Medical Services (EMS) activation, risk factors, and signals and actions for survival. 

CPR BLS for Healthcare Providers Renewal
The BLS Renewal Course is a option for BLS Providers who currently have an active BLS Provider card. The primary objective is to teach participants the psychomotor (performance) skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants and to provide information about Emergency Medical Services (EMS) activation, risk factors, and signals and actions for survival. 
CPR BLS for Healthcare Providers-MNTC (OLT) FLEX
The primary objective of this online hybrid course is to teach Healthcare providers the psychomotor (performance) skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants, to provide information about Emergency Medical Services (EMS) activation, risk factors, and signals and actions for survival.
Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED
The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. First Aid and CPR with AED instruction are included. This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heartsaver First Aid And CPR/AED - MNTC (Olt) FLEX

This blended online course is designed for employee training. It will equip the learner with the first aid skills necessary to respond to a first aid emergency as well as environmental emergencies, instructing management of illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It is also appropriate for the average citizen who wants to be prepared in the event of a cardiac arrest or serious life threatening injury.

Home Care Administration Preparedness (OLT) at MNTC
This course is online. The Oklahoma Home Care Act, Oklahoma Statute Title 63 requires certification for Home Care Administrators. In this online course, the student will learn the fundamental skills required of a home care administrator, including applicable state and federal law and regulation, ethics, financial management, human resource management and leadership skills.
Home Health/ Long Term Care Nurse Aide (Flex)
This class is a self-paced to attend on your schedule. This FlexTrack course focus on the basic skills and concepts needed for the certified nurse aide in Long Term Care and Home Health. Students receive excellent quality education in our flexible learning environment, learning needs and aspirations. Typical work environments include long term care facilities, hospitals, clinics and in the home setting. MNTC is an approved program through the Oklahoma State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.
 
Introduction to Medical Office and Electronic Medical Record Keeping (OLT) at MNTC.
This online course is designed to give students the tools to work in a front office medical setting, including the necessary skills of communication, record keeping, daily operations, customer service and professionalism. It will also provide the learner with an introduction to the purpose and benefit of an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Long Term Nurse Aide Care (FLEX)
This FlexTrack course focuses on the basic skills and concepts needed for the certified nurse aide in Long Term Care. Students will receive excellent quality education in our flexible learning environment, learning needs and aspirations. Typical work environments include long term care facilities and hospitals. MNTC is an approved program through the Oklahoma State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.
(MAT) Medication Administration Technician at MNTC.
This course will provide the student with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals in residential care, group homes, and sheltered workshops with medication administration.
Medical Billing and Insurance (OLT)
This Online course is designed to offer the student knowledge and a practical skill set in the medical and billing area covering the process from billing health claim submissions to collection including troubleshooting a denial claim. It will explore the different types of insurance, commercial and Medicare. 
Medical Coding/ICD-10 (OLT) at MNTC
This Online course will prepare the learner for a career in medical coding. The medical coder must be able to translate written documentation into the numerical language of ICD-10-CM for diagnoses/disease classification and CPT-4 for outpatient billing purposes.

This Online course presents a study of basic medical terminology, Prefixes, suffixes, word roots, combining forms, special endings, plural forms, abbreviations, and symbols are included in the content. A word-building system will be used to learn many new terms. Emphasis is placed on spelling, definition, usage and pronunciation.

Nurse Refresher
Are you an LPN or RN in need of an update in the world of professional nursing? The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing and Moore Norman Technology Center are accepting enrollments for the Statewide Nurse Refresher Course. This course will offer two components:
 
1. Didactic (online course with instructor support) 
2. Clinical (skill check-off and online simulation blend) 
Nurse Review

Nurse Review classes are designed for LPNs or RNs who have been mandated by the  in order to maintain their licenses. Approval is required before enrolling in Nurse Review classes. Opioid Education for Healthcare Providers (OLT) Flex
The course educates participants in the pathophysiology of opioid overdose, special considerations on how to care for overdoes patients, recognizing the need for CPR and the use of a defibrillator s as indicated. It also offers information on the importance and types of resources available to individuals after an opioid overdose including medication-assisted therapies.
 
Skills Session for American Heart Association Classes
This class is a hands on skills session for American Heart Association students who have completed the on line portion of an AHA CPR class. Students attend a structured hands-on session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice and skills testing.
