CompTIA Security+ is a certification preparation class that validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and pursue a career in IT security. This class establishes the essential knowledge required for any cybersecurity role and serves as a strong foundation for advancing into intermediate-level cybersecurity positions.

Security+ emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills, ensuring learners can apply security concepts in real-world environments. Candidates will learn to:

• Assess the security posture of enterprise environments and recommend or implement appropriate security solutions
• Monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT systems  Operate with awareness of applicable laws, policies, and principles of governance, risk, and compliance
• Identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents

This class uses CompTIA’s online platform, CertMaster Learn and Labs, which combines instructional lessons, videos, practice questions, performance-based questions, and virtual labs to deliver hours of interactive content aligned with CompTIA Security+ exam objectives. Essential skills are reinforced through instructor-led discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on lab activities in a formal classroom setting.
