This 3-hour awareness-level class provides electrical apprentices with a foundational understanding of arc flash hazards, associated risks, and essential electrical safety practices.
Participants will learn how arc flash incidents occur, the potential consequences, hazard recognition, personal protective equipment (PPE) awareness, and an introduction to applicable safety standards, including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
Designed with a jobsite focus, this course helps apprentices recognize electrical hazards, follow safe work practices, and develop the safety mindset needed for a successful career in the electrical industry.
Arc flash incidents can occur in a fraction of a second, producing extreme temperatures and life-changing injuries. Building awareness early helps protect apprentices, coworkers, and the workplace.
