Start your career in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration with our HVAC/R Evening Program. This program consists of two required courses—HVAC/R I and HVAC/R II and is designed to fit your schedule while providing real-world, hands-on training.
Together, these courses provide 500 hours of approved instruction, prepare students for OSHA and EPA certifications, and apply toward one year of the three-year apprenticeship requirement necessary to qualify to sit for the Mechanical Journeyman examination.
HVAC/R II builds upon the foundational skills developed in HVAC/R I and focuses on refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Topics include refrigeration cycles, system components, refrigerant handling, system performance analysis, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Students gain hands-on experience servicing residential and commercial HVAC systems and prepare for EPA Section 608 certification.

Pre-requisite: Successful completion on HVAC/R I
This program is delivered in a blended format and requires reliable internet access for online coursework and homework assignments. Students are also required to participate in Essential Skills in the Workplace, held on the third Thursday of each month.
