Take your machining skills to the next level in this hands-on advanced class designed for students who have completed Machining: Manual – Mills and Lathes. In this immersive course, you’ll gain real-time experience working in a machine shop environment with nearly all class time spent in the lab under instructor supervision.
Learn advanced machine setups including threading, boring, and tapering on the engine lathe, as well as cutting angles, milling slots, and forming hex shapes on the Bridgeport mill.
Students will be challenged to complete projects to print specifications and meet deadlines, preparing them for real shop conditions and earning an additional certificate upon successful completion.
