This evening welding course is designed to introduce students to basic welding skills and provides a foundation for further training toward industrial welding skills. Safe use of equipment is emphasized.
Students will receive basic instruction and participate in hands-on experiences using oxyfuel welding and cutting, shielded metal arc welding and gas metal arc welding (MIG), Fluxed core arc welding (FCAW), and Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG).
Requirement: This class is blended and requires computer and internet access.

Long sleeve shirt (100% cotton) or Welding sleeves

High Top Leather Boots (steel-toe optional)

Tip Cleaner

Chipping hammer

Wire brush (mild steel)

Vise grips

Cutting Goggles or Cutting Glasses (#3 to #5 shade)

Wire Cutting Pliers (needlenose/welper)
*Students must be 16 years of age or older to enroll in short term classes.
