The classroom based, instructor led CPR BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers teaches healthcare professionals the critical skills of high quality CPR, to recognize several life threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
The primary objective of this course is to teach psychomotor (performance) skills of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants and to provide information about Emergency Medical Services (EMS) activation, risk factors, and signals and actions for survival.
The new 2020 AHA guidelines provide the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest. It teaches both single rescuer and team basic life support skills for the application in both pre-hospital and in facility environments, with a focus on high quality CPR and team dynamics.
MNTC is an official American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center. After successful completion of the CPR class, the student will receive an AHA eCard via email from AHA.
