Home Care Administration Preparedness (OLT)
 
This class is online. The Oklahoma Home Care Act, Oklahoma Statute Title 63 requires certification for Home Care Administrators. In this online course, the student will learn the fundamental skills required of a home care administrator, including applicable state and federal law and regulation, ethics, financial management, human resource management and leadership skills.
 
This online class satisfies the statutory 160 hour requirement for home care administrator preparedness, through a combination of classroom studies, online study, activities, and interaction, completion of a Master Project, and 16 hours of required practicum. In addition, students will prepare to sit for the Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness examination (the OHCAPA).
 
Students are required to meet on the first class date of class to pick up their books, and log into the online system. There will also be two other class meetings that will be announced by the instructor on the first class meeting. The rest of the class is done online.

You will prepare to sit for the Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness (OHCAPA) examination. You are required to meet in person 3 times on the first day of class, last day of class and the financial management that will be announced by the instructor. The rest of the class is done online.
 

*Students must be 16 years of age or older to enroll in short term classes.
