This Online class is designed to offer the student knowledge and a practical skill set in the medical and billing area covering the process from billing health claim submissions to collection including troubleshooting a denial claim.
It will explore the different types of insurance, commercial and Medicare. Specific insurance terminology is covered in detail in order to prepare the student to be knowledgeable in educating the patient with regard to the processes and communicating with the payers.

PREREQUISITE:Intro to Medical Office & Electronic Recordkeeping OR -Medical Coding - OR - 6month employment in a related front office position.
Students will receive email notifications detailing the procedures and schedule for textbook pickup at the MNTC South Penn Campus location. Access to a video conferencing platform (e.g., FaceTime, Zoom, or similar application) required.
*Students must be 16 years of age or older to enroll in short term classes.
