Are you an LPN or RN in need of an update in the world of professional nursing? The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing and Moore Norman Technology Center are accepting enrollments for the Statewide Nurse Refresher Course.
This class will offer two components:
1. Didactic (online course with instructor support)
2. Clinical (skill check-off and online simulation blend)
This course will meet the requirements for the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as an approved Nurse Refresher course started by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, this new take on our previous Nurse Refresher will have the student work with OU and Moore Norman Technology Center to get you back out in the work force.
Didactic portions will be done through OU online course work. The didactic course is competency based, so students successfully completing the competency assessment for each module may proceed to the next module when ready.
Afterwards, the clinical portion will be done through an online simulation software called vSim and Skill check-off (In-person). You will be required to pay $100 directly to vSim for six-month access to this software.
This class is expected to be completed in six months but can be extended to a year for an additional fee.
