This course reviews shooting fundamentals such as stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control, and fulfills the requirements of the CLEET Mandatory Handgun Qualification/Requalification Standard.
The qualification includes firing from various positions and distances, timed stages, strong- and weak-hand shooting, and reloading. Officers must achieve a minimum score of 72% on the course of fire with their duty handgun to qualify.

REQUIREMENT: Must be an active commissioned officer. Commission cards must be present and will be checked before training. Failure to provide commission card so will result in withdrawal from the course. Tuition is not refundable.
Participant Supply List:
- Agency-issued or approved firearm with duty gear & holster
- 150-200 rounds of ammunition
- Eye & Ear Protection
- All qualifications will be conducted on turning targets.
*Students must be 16 years of age or older to enroll in short term classes.
