Cost of Attendance (COA) is used to give an idea of the full cost of attending school will cost. There are Direct* and Indirect* costs included in the COA. Your specific indirect costs may be different than what is listed below.  *Definitions are listed below.

Direct Costs: Direct costs are charges that will appear on your Moore Norman Technology Center invoice, (i.e. tuition, fees, books, course materials, supplies, equipment, etc.)

Indirect Costs: Indirect costs are estimated expenses related to attending school that will not appear on your invoice. (i.e. transportation, personal expenses, supplies, etc.) Many of these costs are expenses you may have whether or not you attend school, but they should still be considered when planning your budget.

Dependent Students: Dependent students are individuals whose dependency status is determined by the federal FAFSA application, based on criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education. 

Independent Students: Independent students are those who do not meet the definition of a dependent student, based on FAFSA guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Education.

Tuition Note: All tuition amounts listed are based on full-time enrollment.

Books: Books and required materials are purchased through Moore Norman Technology Center.

Indirect Cost Estimates: Indirect cost estimates are based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as of December 2025, provided by the U.S. Department of Labor.

  1. Tuition is based on In-District/Out-District Residency and program length.
  2. Tuition and fees are due by the due date listed on your invoice.
  3. Tuition and Fees are divided up into invoice periods based on the length of the program and enrollment.
  4. Program costs will differ based on student status. (adult, high school, in-district, out-of-district, career programs, full-time, part-time, etc.)

What do I need to know about exam costs and purchasing tools/supplies?

Graduation Gown Requirement

All graduates must wear a graduation gown. Caps (mortarboards) are not required. Adult students and high school students without a gown from their sending school will need to purchase one from Amazon for approximately $17 plus shipping. Specific order information will be listed on the MNTC Graduation webpage.
