Direct Costs: Direct costs are charges that will appear on your Moore Norman Technology Center invoice, (i.e. tuition, fees, books, course materials, supplies, equipment, etc.) Indirect Costs: Indirect costs are estimated expenses related to attending school that will not appear on your invoice. (i.e. transportation, personal expenses, supplies, etc.) Many of these costs are expenses you may have whether or not you attend school, but they should still be considered when planning your budget. Dependent Students: Dependent students are individuals whose dependency status is determined by the federal FAFSA application, based on criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education. Independent Students: Independent students are those who do not meet the definition of a dependent student, based on FAFSA guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Education. Tuition is based on In-District/Out-District Residency and program length.
Tuition and fees are due by the due date listed on your invoice.
Tuition and Fees are divided up into invoice periods based on the length of the program and enrollment.
Program costs will differ based on student status. (adult, high school, in-district, out-of-district, career programs, full-time, part-time, etc.)

Adult Students:

Tools and supplies are not available for purchase at MNTC.

Prices of these items vary based on retailer, brand purchased, and student preference.

Check with your instructor before purchasing tools.

High School Students:

Tools and supplies are not available for purchase at MNTC.

Prices of these items vary based on retailer, brand purchased, and student preference.

It is highly recommended that each high school student purchase their own tools for internships and employment, but MNTC will provide tools to use if needed.

Graduation Gown Requirement

All graduates must wear a graduation gown. Caps (mortarboards) are not required. Adult students and high school students without a gown from their sending school will need to purchase one from Amazon for approximately $17 plus shipping. Specific order information will be listed on the MNTC Graduation webpage.

Cancellations and Withdrawals - Graduating High School Seniors and Adult Students

Career Programs

Career program students are eligible for 100% refund before classes start or within the first ten (10) instructional days.
No refunds if a student drops after the tenth instructional day.
Non-attendance of classes does not constitute official withdrawal.
Tuition will not be refunded for programs in which the student has earned a final grade.

Short Term Classes

Tuition refunds must be requested through Student Services.
Open Enrollment, Workshops, and Seminars – a full refund less a $5.00 processing fee will be given if the enrollment is dropped before the start of the class.
No refunds will be issued after the start of the class.
Non-attendance of classes does not constitute official withdrawal.

FlexTrack & Online Classes

Tuition refunds must be requested through Student Services.
Students enrolled in a FlexTrack or online class are eligible for a full refund less a $5.00 processing fee if they withdraw from the class within 2 days of the enrollment date.
After two (2) days from enrollment date, no refunds will be issued.

What about Funding Resources?

Education is more important than ever, and financial resources are available to help you succeed. Financial aid is available to adult students attending career programs that are more than 600 hours of instruction. Moore Norman Technology Center does not participate in any Student Loan program.

1098-T

1098-T Student Information Form

For adult students only.

1098-T Tuition: MNTC’s Bursar office is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to issue the form 1098-T to any student that provides a social security number to the school and is enrolled during the current calendar tax year period.

The form 1098-T will report payments made during the current tax year. The form also documents if you were enrolled at least half-time during any semester and if you have graduated. *Student must request this form by completing and submitting the Student Information for 1098-T form to the Bursar Office. To ensure timely delivery, please make sure to update your address, when appropriate.

MNTC CANNOT determine whether tax credit is available to students who pay higher education cost through the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997. Please consult your tax advisor or the IRS (search on Tax Benefits for Higher Education) for more information.
