Practical Nursing (LPN)
Adult Students Only
Practical nurses care for patients with compassion and skill in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices, home health, and long-term care facilities. Job descriptions can vary depending on each state’s Nurse Practice Act (regulations). You will train in standard techniques to provide basic nursing care, perform focused assessments, and administer care to patients under the direct supervision of physicians or registered nurses. Conduct clinical rotations at local medical facilities and offices, and prepare to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) through the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
