MNTC Summer Youth Academy 2025

Summer Youth Academy is open to students entering sixth, seventh, or eighth grade for 2025-2026.

Classes are scheduled to run during three different weeks in June from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Each week has different classes to select from.

MNTC Summer Youth Academy is career-focused to engage students and connect with a future career. Classes are taught by current MNTC instructors and include hands-on activities.

Students may only enroll in one class per week. Enrollment is limited to 10-15 students depending on the class and classes will fill up quickly. We recommend completing this form on a computer desktop or laptop device.

I hereby give and grant to the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE) and Moore Norman Technology Center (MNTC) the absolute and unconditional right to use, publish, display, and/or reproduce in any manner, video/recorded voice/photographs/written statements, in which I appear, including the right to edit or use a portion of such video/recorded voice/photographs/statements that positively promotes the image and benefits of vocational and technical education through any marketing/public relations/social media/promotional materials benefiting the ODCTE and MNTC.

I hereby waive any right, to inspect or approve the finished video/recorded voice/photographs/releases/statements, or any finished materials, copy or other matter, which may be used in conjunction with, or the manner in which any of the same are used, reproduced, published, or displayed.

I further release ODCTE and MNTC from any liability whatever that may occur or be produced in the taking, reproducing, publishing, showing, or displaying of said video/recorded voice/photographs/written statements, and agree that ODCTE and MNTC shall be the owner of the photographs and all rights to them, may copyright the video/recorded voice/photographs/written statements in its own name, and may grant to others permission to use them.

I further understand that I am not to receive payment for said video/recorded voice/photographs/written statements and that these video/recorded voice/photographs/written statements will not discredit or distort my person in any way.

The forms of electronic and digital communications change rapidly. This policy addresses common existing forms of electronic and digital communication (email, texting, blogging, tweeting, posting, etc.) but is intended to cover any new form of electronic or digital communication which utilizes a computer, phone or other digital or electronic device.

I am the parent/guardian of a student enrolled in Summer Youth Academy offered at Moore Norman Technology Center.

For myself and my heirs, inconsideration of their enrollment at the School, I hereby release and discharge the School and its employees, officers, students, and agents, from all present and future claims by me, and any and all liability and damages to the student, relating to or arising from my students participation in Summer Youth Academy 2024.

SYA Expectationsrequired

Students will follow instructions provided by any staff member. If a student does not follow directions and is considered a danger to themselves or others, they will be excused from the program.

Refund Policyrequired

Summer Youth Academy classes will be refunded in full minus a $5 processing fee if class is dropped prior to the first day of class. No refunds will be given after the start of class. Refund requests must be made through MNTC Student Services by email at customer.inquiry@mntc.edu or by phone at 405.801.5000.
