Financial Aid - Grants & Scholarships

Education is more important than ever, and financial resources are available to help you succeed. Financial aid is available to adult students attending career majors that are more than 600 hours of instruction. Moore Norman Technology Center does not participate in any Student Loan program.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

  • Complete the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA) in print, or online at
  • Identify MNTC as your school code choice on the FAFSA application

Federal Pell Grant (PELL)

  • Federally funded program which provides aid to adult students who seek a diploma or certificate in an eligible career major at our institution.
  • Pell Grants are restricted to students who have not earned a bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Eligibility is based on meeting certain criteria.
  • Grant does not have to be repaid.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

  • MNTC is provided limited funds to use toward students with the greatest need.
  • Grant does not have to be repaid.

Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG)

  • May cover up to 50 percent of tuition costs depending on eligibility.
  • Administered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
  • Grant does not have to be repaid.

Odom Family Scholarship

The P. B. Odom III Family Scholarship fund is established to encourage graduating seniors and applicants age 45 or younger who are residents from South Oklahoma City or Moore, Oklahoma to pursue post-secondary education degree programs at an accredited college or university offering a vocational, two-year or a four-year curriculum in the state of Oklahoma.

Students Applicable: 
• Applicants must either be (1) a graduating high school senior from a school in South Oklahoma City or Moore, Oklahoma or (2) residents age 45 or younger of South Oklahoma City or Moore, Oklahoma (see geographical definition below). • Unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 2.0 from most recently attended school. • Applicants must plan to attend a vocational school, college or university in Oklahoma. • Awards may be given to full-time and part-time students. Part-time recipients will receive a monetary award of that is half of a full-time recipient (per academic year).
