Electrical apprentices and journeyman work for licensed electrical contractors. Students design, build, and troubleshoot motor control systems. They interface and utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and learn residential, commercial, and industrial construction wiring methods. Successful completion of the curriculum prepares students for state electrical examinations. Automation technicians study for basic-to-advanced knowledge in PLCs, electrical wiring, electronics, robotics, hydraulic pneumatic, power transmission, and motor controls.
