Who Can Enroll

High School Students Only

Nurse Aide prepares students for a future nursing career by preparing them for two state certifications: Long-Term Care Nurse Assistant, and Home Health Assistant. This class provides core knowledge based upon National Health Core Skill Standards. After certification, graduates can work as a long-term care/home health assistant. Students perform clinical skills such as taking vital signs, personal care, transferring, and transporting patients. Prepare to take the Medication Administration Technician Certification (MAT) test.
