At least 24 hours prior to a regular or special meeting, an agenda must be posted which includes, in addition to the business to be undertaken by the Board, the date, time, and place of the meeting. 25 O.S. § 311(A)(9); S.L.O § 533(A)(9). The 24-hour provision does not include Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays.
The agenda required by law to be posted should be posted in a conspicuous place, which is easily accessible and convenient to the public for at least 24 business hours prior to the meeting. A. G. Op. No. 97-98. In additional to the above referenced posting requirement, school districts are required by law to post a copy of the agenda on their website.
Any persons with a disability and/or needing special accommodations to attend the Board of Education meeting should notify the Minutes Clerk of the Board at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of the meeting, if possible.
