High School Juniors
PLTW Biomedical students are taking on real-world challenges, and they’re doing it before graduating from high school. Working with the same tools used by professionals in labs and hospitals, as a laboratories student, you will engage in compelling, hands-on activities and collaborate on teams to find solutions to problems. PLTW Biomedical empowers you to build knowledge and skills in biomedical studies, make presentations, and develop transportable skills like problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is the curriculum used to teach this program.
- Experience hands-on activities in forensic science, anatomy, cell biology, disease research, organic chemistry, and genetic engineering
- Design, conduct, and analyze a wide range of scientific experiments to solve medical mysteries
- Step into the roles of biomedical science professionals to manipulate and diagnose laboratory-grown molecules, cells, tissues, and organs
Prepared for further education and future employment
