Two biotechnology students performing tasks
High School Juniors and Seniors Only

MNTC's Biotechnology Program is a college preparatory program that combines academics and laboratory skill training to prepare students for continuing education in many high-tech fields such as genetics, bioengineering, medical diagnosis, biochemical engineering, pathology, medical research, pharmaceuticals, bio fuel development, bioinformatics, agriculture, and environmental remediation. Students learn to isolate, extract, cut, recombine, and insert strands of DNA, and to use the technology required to process DNA evidence.  Students completing this curriculum will learn basic concepts and skills to help them succeed in required college courses for the fields listed below. To complement this program's curriculum, students must complete advanced science classes at their high school.  Biology II credit is available for both NPS and MPS students, and a half credit of Forensic Science is available for NPS students' capstone project, if approved by the teacher.

MNTC offers more evening IT certification courses than anyone in the state! Check it out and compare for yourself! #CompTIA #Linux #PowerShell #Certification #Python

I highly recommend MNTC as both a student and as a parent! Great programs, fantastic staff, excellent instructors. What more could you ask for?

Tami Hanna Doiron, Parent

Growing up I was always told that college was the ONLY option to be successful. I was told wrong. The careers of tomorrow are not in Philosophy, Literature, or Political Science. Nursing, Sonography, Computer Programming, Cyber Defense, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, and CNC Machining are the careers that will continue to grow.

I wish I had gone to Moore Norman because they fully support their students, which is why over 95% of their students either work in their field or continue onto college for career-specific degrees.

Jared Williams

Moore Norman is a great! The teachers and staff are nice and very informative. I also love the concept of the Technology Center. I wish I had this option when I was in high school!

Brandon Fox

I recently attended Connect Now at Moore Norman Technology Center. I was able to bring my son to this event. It was an amazing opportunity for him to learn about options available to him for the future. It was headed up by Barbara Rice, Disabilities Coordinator. Kudos to her and all the vendors for providing this awesome event to the community.

Shirlene Gathright, Mother

Excellent school with knowledgeable and helpful instructors.
