Physical Therapy Services

 
High School Juniors and Seniors Only

Physical therapy aides perform components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by a supervising physical therapist. Experience in-class instruction, conduct clinical observations, and perform direct patient care during internships. You will also prepare to earn a physical therapy aide certification from the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).

Program Highlights
  • Work with professional physical therapists in diverse settings to observe performance, and assist the physical therapists with patient rehabilitation
  • Assist with customized exercise and therapeutic treatments to increase strength, mobility, and coordination under the supervision of a PT
  • Work in teams to provide patient plan documentation, schedule therapies, and make re-injury prevention recommendations
