This course is online. The Oklahoma Home Care Act, Oklahoma Statute Title 63 requires certification for Home Care Administrators. In this Online course, the student will learn the fundamental skills required of a home care administrator, including applicable state and federal law and regulation, ethics, financial management, human resource management and leadership skills. This online course satisfies the statutory 160 hour requirement for home care administrator preparedness, through a combination of classroom studies, online study, activities, and interaction, completion of a Master Project, and 16 hours of required practicum. In addition, students will prepare to sit for the Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness examination (the OHCAPA).
Students are required to attend August 23rd at the South Penn Campus from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and also on October 18th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the South Penn Campus room P203. Students will pick up their books on the first day of class. The rest of the class will be done online.
